Nuggets of Paranoia.

There are times, when I am searching the web for something, and run across a totally different subject that catches my eye. This morning was no exception. In the past, I have written about EMF paranoia (electromagnetic frequency radiation) that makes its rounds from time to time. My last post on this subject, was on articles of clothing.

Cell phones, those smart (sometimes smarter than us) gadgets, carried by many every waking moment of their life. According to some “markets”, they are killing us. Slowly cooking us from the inside. Holding them to our heads while we talk for hours. The official medical jury is still out on the effects of cell phone use.

Fortunately, there are other people out there with our best interest (and money) in mind. For around $50, I can get you a medallion that will completely protect you from EMF radiation.

For $48.97 You can have a postage stamp size adhesive decal, made of “special” materials that you affix to your phone, tablet, laptop. This wonderful device blocks 99.95% of all EMF. Of course if that claim is true, cell phone signals being EMF would be blocked as well, but I digress.

Cost free tip, from your friend Ron.

After working in your yard, do you experience unexpected fatigue or agitation? Brain Fog? Have insomnia or decreased libido? It’s probably that nasty old Power meter outside on a pole in your yard, or attached to your house. For $129.95 + $12 S&H, you can get a Smart Meter Guard EMF Shield Cover. Of course the next call you will get will be from your power company.

My electric company couldn’t read the meter

They said to remove it because they couldn’t get a meter reading.
Additionally, they said it’s a hoax and to save my money.

On a positive note, most of these items come with a 100% money back guarantee, no questions asked. Nice of them, don’t you think?
Comments always welcome,

  1. I hardly use a smartphone, and never carry it around on my person anyway. It’s always in my car, in case of ’emergencies’.
As for gadgets that claim to ‘block’ signals, then you must be correct in stating that they would stop the thing working!
I will continue to wear my very cheap tinfoil hat, which additionally protects me from having my thoughts read by government scanners, or being abducted by aliens! 🙂 🙂
    Best wishes, Pete.

  2. That is so amusing. On the other hand, I wonder why I’ve never seen these wacky things. Maybe I’ve never been tested and have no idea what I might fall for.

    1. Don’t worry Anne. I’m 66 and had never bumped into it until a few years ago. Do a search on Amazon for EMF. You can get items to protect you from the government and aliens reading your mind. LOL

  3. If one has concerns with EMF then it is going to be difficult to avoid theses days. Many places are equipped with Wi-Fi. People sitting 3 to 4 feet away from you may wear smart watches which connect with their cell phones, they keep communicating with each other via Bluetooth. Wireless keyboard and mouse are in similar situation. etc. Although these are considered low energy compared to the EMF from power lines around you but they are very close to you every day. Oh, mostly these operate over 2.4Ghz band which is the same as frequency in your microwave oven..

Back to these gadgets, I think they are all fake and money back guarantee is a double down on their propaganda. Radiation in our environment like these are 360 degrees, wearing necklace would not help (unless they are based on an unknown science or technology). I do not think electric meter is the hot of radiation spot, the power line operates at 60hz and not high voltage/current. Yes, the cover might be great but not such price 🙂

    1. I agree with you. They prey on fear and lack of knowledge about the subject. Like the medallion, the only place you might get a minuscule of protection, would be right behind the item. Meanwhile, energy is bombarding the same person from head to toe.

They didn’t mention any kitchen appliances, or the thermostat if they are controlled wirelessly. I just scanned my network, and I have 9 wireless items in the house.

The old cell phones put out 5 watts of power, compared to the modern versions of only milliwatts. Thanks for the comment, YellowCable.
