Slow Saturday.

A soft rain, AC steadily humming along in the window. Sparky the squirrel is on the porch eating food we put out for him, or her. Life is good here in the trailerhood. You may remember it from “Oh Lawd, it’s Black Friday”

After mowing the lawn at 8am this morning. In the sweltering humidity I might add, we then finished Michelle’s craft room. She, is thrilled. I’m tired and this day is now free for me to play on the computers. I have added a live feed to the sidebar of the blog, and from time to time I will activate it to give all of you a view of things happening. Right now, the resident squirrel is filling his little belly at the bowl.

Thunder getting a tad close this evening. The rain is welcome, the lightning can keep its distance.

I’m just trying it out. If you’d like to leave feedback in the comments, I welcome them. I have five cameras, so there is no telling what I might live stream from time to time. Please let me know if it causes too much slowdown or other issues. I’m not seeing any on my end, but that doesn’t mean it won’t on other connections.

It’s time to start my spaghetti supper, and prepare to watch whatever Svengoolie has on for an old classic show tonight.

Stay safe, and happy.

  1. A slow Saturday, it is good. We too have squirrels and birds coming to eat what we put out for them. It is a joy to see them.

    1. That would probably be, “Trip” his hair is really thin on the tail. He, or she, is the one that touched the transformer with their tail, and knocked out the power some months ago. I never knew the little fella could eat that much.
Thanks for the comment, and I’m glad you could see the stream.

  2. Hi Ron! I’m glad you weren’t mowing your lawn around here at 8:00 a.m.! I think we might’ve yelled out the window at you to stop! We’re late sleepers! πŸ™‚

Congrats on the new craft room! Pics??

Your thunder moved up here now. Sigh.

Your video feed is ‘unavailable.’ I guess it’s resting (It’s tired from having been rudely awakened at 8:00 a.m. by some keen person mowing their lawn, perhaps). πŸ˜€

    Take care, Ron!

    1. I’ll post some picks after she gets it back in order. She would scalp me know. She has things scattered around the floor trying to organize everything.

Sorry, the feed shows unavailable when it’s offline. I suppose I could leave the recording showing when it’s offline. I may do that. The stream will change from one camera to another by me, from time to time. It may show the office, yard, or the highway outside. Maybe even some Guinea Pigs Michelle has. πŸ™‚

      Thanks for the comment.

      1. BTW, Ron, that was me (Ellie P.)! I don’t know why it said “Anonymous”!

BTW#2 – I saw Sparky! Cute lil fellow. Hungry lil fellow!! Nice that you feed him. πŸ™‚

    1. You know what they say about pay-back.. I thought I would get an early morning in. Around here, folks start stirring around five am. Of course, eight am might be a tad early to be mowing, but I did it on the highway side away from others.

I took the stream offline, so no one would see me in my fancy redneck green camouflage shorts and t-shirt. Thanks for the chuckle.

  4. I did get to watch the squirrel yesterday, but he seems to have disappeared today. Did the squirrel protective league protest?

  5. Yes, we sort of had a pause, or paws for a bit. They were talking about a union “American Nut Collectors 31” so I had to explain to them, they could perform for what was in the bowl, or I’d find others. They’re back. πŸ™‚

  6. I am late to the commenting party Ron … I just looked and the squirrel has gone to his nest with his family for the night … actually it said “Please Stand By” … I will look again tomorrow because I do like squirrels and often write about them. I often hop onto the site called: https://explore.org/livecams
There are livecams for every type of wildlife/scenery imaginable.

    1. Thanks. I am working on a graphic to show when it is offline. Sadly YouTube lacks in that area. Just check back from time to time and you’ll catch it streaming.

      -Ron

  7. Too cute! πŸ™‚

I’m finally getting a moment to check on you and yours… great to β€œsee” you again!
